Fantastic stay. Woodways is a gorgeous bungalow decorated very tastefully by the current owners Sushmita and Sreedev. The hosts are very welcoming, courteous and helpful. The food is very delicious with a nice spread at each meal. They even customized the dishes to our preferences at each meal. The property is very beautiful, situated on a large coffee estate owned by the owners. Sreedev gave us a tour of the estate with a lot of information on coffee growing. Sushmita is very passionate about hosting and goes the extra mile to ensure the guests are comfortable and happy. The rooms are spacious, nice and clean with all the amenities. The bathrooms are also nice. The other staff on the property for cleaning, serving, cooking are also very courteous and customer focused. The owners have done a great job with their orientation. The property is located away from the hustle bustle of Chikmagluru but not too far. Cell service (Airtel) is non existent at the property and unfortunately the Wifi at the property was down when we were there - that was a small inconvenience.

My birthday was a delightful surprise orchestrated by my husband. Our adventure began with a flight to Bengaluru, only to discover that it wasn't just any trip; it was a journey to Woodway Homestay. What was supposed to be a "shoot" turned into a dream holiday. Susmitha's homestay is a page torn from a Ruskin Bond novel. The serene mountains, genuine warmth, delectable food, cozy bonfires, friendly pups, and overwhelming affection—all of it made our three-day stay feel like an everlasting memory etched in our hearts. Woodway isn't just a picturesque location; it's Shreedev's childhood home, lovingly resurrected by the couple's dedication, Susmitha's exceptional talent, and her relentless hard work. Each evening, after a sumptuous homemade dinner (complete with mouthwatering desserts), we went to bed eagerly anticipating the next culinary delight. As I write this on my way back to the airport, I'm reliving every enchanting moment we experienced at Woodway. While the place itself is undeniably beautiful, what truly distinguishes it is the remarkable hospitality and the unforgettable experiences it offers. Whether it's a scenic drive to Mullayangiri or an in-depth hike through Shreedev's coffee estate, or the nightly social bonfires accompanied by delicious snacks, Woodway Homestay leaves no stone unturned when it comes to pampering their guests. Susmitha, we can't wait to return in February to witness your passion, love, and hard work in action once again. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

This is a beautiful property to stay in. Susmitha and Shreedev are wonderful hosts. Hats off to Susmitha to have put in so much details from doors to mirrors in the house to make look and feel cozy. No amount of photos could justify the hard work. The food is amazing, authentic and healthy. We had a wonderful vacation.

Woodway is a beautiful & serene home away from home. Our first home stay experience will be forever to remember! The apprehension of being in an old heritage bungalow alongside five other families was quickly bust as we arrived and were welcomed like you would be into your extended family home. Guest friendly dogs ensure you aren’t left alone when you are walking around the estate.The property itself is stunning with large acreage of coffee plantations painstakingly & passionately maintained. The rooms are comparable to any luxury heritage hotel with the old world charm intact. Sreedev and Sushmita were great hosts taking care of every nuance to make our stay memorable. The food was simple, home made with local delicacies served everyday. While the place takes you away from the busy schedule, it’s also educational to know the life of the coffee growers and the enormous effort before it reaches our cup. I would recommend Woodway for anyone who would want to getaway from the busy city life but still feel at home!
